I cannot believe this is still happening! I cannot believe that the entire world sits by and twiddles their thumbs while Palestine continues to be besieged! WHY?

Does any of this make sense to anyone?

If this had been a farmer, or a Palestinian youth, it would have been covered by ISM, but no one else would have told this story. But because it was Tristan Anderson, the American, it is world news. I feel so badly for his family and loved ones, and for the ISM comrades that care about him. I pray he does well and heals well.

Please, people, this is Gaza, this is the West Bank. It IS apartheid. It IS terrorism. It IS against International law.

Do not let your easy lifestyle (and believe me, it is easy compared to what Palestinians go through) make you complacent because "it does not affect you". It Does! And it will affect the future you have in this country and the future your children will have.

Write letters asking your government to stop oppression and apartheid in Palestine. Join a group that supports Palestine. Write a blog that supports Palestine. Wear a T-shirt that supports Palestine. Do Something!

We cannot continue to accept the double standard that our country seems to purport.
